The Russian Choir was formed in November 2004, and 2008-09 is its 5th season. The links below show the services and concerts at which the choir has sung. The first season’s performances (04-05) were mainly at church services. In 05-06 the choir sang at 4 concerts, including the Glasgow City Hall, and its first West End Festival concert. There were also 2 workshops.

In 06-07 there were concerts in East Klbride, as well as St Andrew’s in the Square and the West End Festival again, and services in St Margaret’s, Newlands and St Aloysius’ in Glasgow. There was a very well attended workshop.

In the first 4 months there were concerts in St Ninian’s Glasgow, the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Darlington Centre of the Arts, St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, and Dunblane Cathedral, as well as 3 church services, and a very successful workshop in conjunction with BBC Education. The season ended with a concert in Hyndland Parish Church as the choir returned for their third West End Festival. The season ended with a very successful workshop a few days later.

The 08-09 season began with with a concert for Russian visitors to East Renfrewhire Council in September, a workshop for BBC Education in Glasgow’s City Halls, and a recital in Kelvingrove Art Gallery (both in October). All this was followed by a concert in Novemebr as part of Paisley Choral Festival. And there’s more to come.
