West End Festival, June 2006
Glasgow’s Russian Choir gave a concert of Russian liturgical and folk music in Hyndland Parish Church on Tuesday 13th June 2006, as part of the West End Festival 2006. Click here for more details of the concert. The concert was repeated, with several more items added, In the West Kirk in East Kilbride, on 26th October 2006. A DVD has been created of the original performance.
Glasgow City Hall Concert, May 2006
Glasgow’s Russian Choir sang in the newly refurbished City Hall in May 2006.
Singing Workshop, Spring 2006
Glasgow’s Russian Choir ran 2 singing workshops in 2006 in Glasgow and East Kibride to introduce singers to the intricate experience of Russian liturgical music and folksong.
